Announcement on Accepting Applications for 2019 “Study in Hefei” Scholarship
Issued by Hefei Education Bureau and Foreign Affairs Office of Hefei Municipal People’s Government
为贯彻落实国家“一带一路”合作倡议，进一步提升合肥市国际化水平，加快培养国际化人才，扩大合肥市与国际友好城市和合作关系城市及“一带一路”沿线国家之间教育交流和合作，经合肥市人民政府同意，我市正式启动“留学合肥”政府奖学金申请工作。
In order to implement the national development and cooperation strategy under the framework of the B&R Initiative, further enhance the international level of Hefei, accelerate the cultivation of professionals with international vision and expand educational exchanges and cooperation between Hefei and its international friendship (sister) cities and partnership cities (hereinafter referred to as international friendship and partnership cities), and the countries along the Belt and the Road, upon approval by Hefei Municipal People's Government, Hefei officially starts the application accepting procedures for the “Study in Hefei” Scholarship (hereinafter referred to as Scholarship).
一、“留学合肥”政府奖学金资助范围
I. Who will be offered the Scholarship?
来自“一带一路”沿线国家，或与合肥市已缔结友好协议的国际友好城市和友好合作关系城市的国际学生。
International students from the countries along the Belt and the Road, and from the cities that have entered into a friendship or a partnership relation with Hefei.
二、“留学合肥”政府奖学金申请人条件
II. Eligibility of applicants for the Scholarship:
申请人身体健康，对华友好，具有一定的汉语基础，符合参与项目的各学校规定的相关入学条件，不具有中国国籍的国际学生。已享受各类中方奖学金的国际学生，不在申请范围之列。
International students in good health, friendly to China, who know some Chinese and meet the matriculation requirements of the schools taking part in the “Study in Hefei” Scholarship program; but international students who have already enjoyed other scholarships offered by the Chinese side will not be included in the list of candidates for the Scholarship.
三、“留学合肥”政府奖学金资助标准
III. Funding amount standards for the Scholarship
1、A类：资助成功申请到在合肥市范围内高等院校就读的国际学生，标准为每人4万元/年。
1. Type A: international students who succeeded in matriculating into a Hefei-based institution of higher learning will be funded with an annual scholarship of 40,000 yuan each.
2、B类：资助成功申请到在合肥市范围内普通中学就读的国际学生，标准为每人3万元/年。
2. Type B: international students who succeeded in matriculating into a Hefei-based high school will be funded with an annual scholarship of 30,000 yuan each.
3、C类：资助申请到在合肥市范围内高等院校就读的国际人士（非学历教育），标准为每人4万元/年或每人2万元/半年。
3. Type C: international interns who succeeded in matriculating into a Hefei-based institution of higher learning (for non-degree study) will be funded with an annual scholarship of 40,000 yuan each or 20,000 yuan each for half a year.
四、“留学合肥”政府奖学金申请程序
IV. Application procedures for the Scholarship
如有意向申请此奖学金A类和C类的国际学生，请于2019年8月24日前，A类奖学金申请者向有关高校（名单附后），C类奖学金申请者向合肥市外办提交“留学合肥”政府奖学金申请表和所需材料。有意向申请此奖学金B类的国际学生，请于2019年9月30日前，向合肥市教育局提交“留学合肥”政府奖学金申请表和所需材料。具体情况请咨询相关高校（A类）或合肥市教育局（B类）或合肥市外办（C类）。
International students who intend to apply for the Scholarship are required to submit a well-prepared “Study in Hefei” Scholarship Application Form and other materials required to the institutions of higher learning (the name list is attached below) if you apply for Scholarship Type A, or to Foreign Affairs Office of Hefei Municipal People’s Government if you apply for Scholarship Type C before August 1st, 2019; or to Hefei Education Bureau if you apply for Scholarship Type B before September 30th, 2019. For further information, please contact the institutions of higher learning (for Scholarship Type A) or Hefei Education Bureau (for Scholarship Type B) or Foreign Affairs Office of Hefei Municipal People’s Government (for Scholarship Type C).
我市分别于2019年9月3日（A、C类）和10月8日（B类）开始评估筛选，为优秀的候选人提供奖学金，届时将会以电子邮件、传真、电话等方式通知申报单位或申请者本人，请保持联络通畅。
We will start screening the applicants respectively on September 3rd, 2019 (Type A and C) and October 8th (Type B) and decide who will be qualified for the scholarship. The final outcomes will be informed to the application entities or applicants via e-mail, fax or telephone. Please keep in touch and make yourself available.
